I love to write at the most inconvenient time. Five in the morning. I don’t really know why but it works for me. I also can not, I mean in no way, can I work in complete silence. The more noise, the better I focus. Which is odd because there is no noise at five in the morning. But, you know, it is what it is. Whatever that means. My current soundtrack to the story I am writing is Enya’s A Day Without Rain. It fits the tone perfectly.
Alright. Enough stalling on my end. Your turn. Does your story have a soundtrack? When do you like to write?

I like to write five minutes before I go to work, sometimes at work on pages of the waiter pads when I should be taking orders. I love to listen to Bon Iver or Nova Amor.

Creativity hits when you’re at your busiest and stalls when you’re free. That’s cool to know you write on your waiter pads! I don’t think I would have thought too do that.

Yeah that is so true. What customers don’t know is I’m not actually paying the slightest bit of attention to what they want!
